Ushna shah point out about the Double Standards of Industry
In her latest interview, Ushna Shah shared her views on the double standards of our industry: “I think there are double standards everywhere for actors and actresses and it means for men and women. I have already talked about it but double standards are thereby every means. If you look at pay gaps, they are there no matter how much you deny. And the treatment overall, the way we are perceived. Men can just get away with so much and we can’t”
“When I am working I am extremely to-the-point. And not only in dramas but everywhere, when I am in a professional zone it is like that. And I realize here If I am talking somewhere in a group and with men particularly if I don’t sugar coat my words with a smiley face, I am just considered in poor taste. It’s really frustrating because it’s fine if we are blank with women, but if you talk like that to man it bruises their ego, not all men but most of the men” said Ushna Shah.
